I suppose the first thing anyone should know about me is that I’m not racist, despite the ‘iamwhite’ username I have everywhere! It’s one part literal truth, one part delicious irony, and one part humorous observation. I am White but I’m not white, which is to say, my name is White but I am not completely Caucasian. I am half-Mexican and part German, a combination affectionately referred to as a ‘Beanerschnitzel’… hence the irony of my name.

I met the love of my life (and sidekick) through Twitter, which might appall some, but I’m guessing if you’re visiting ProAwesome.com you must be as comfortable with it as I am! A special thanks to the Two Beer Queers for having the awesome tweetup that brought us together that fateful night! I could not live without Dallas Nagata now that I’ve met her! Very soon I’ll be making Dallas Nagata into Dallas White and begin living our happily ever after at long last!

During the day I am a soldier. Being currently deployed to Afghanistan, my definition of a day job is rather hazy at this point, but when I’m not soldiering I have a diverse set of interests including (but not limited to) photography, music, social media, outdoors, video games, and just learning stuff. I’ve always enjoyed coding and computer science, but more and more I’ve become interested in business, economies, and government so now I’m a lot more involved in the workings of the community around me!

Dallas is my ultimate interest, though! I’ve never been happier than when I’m with her, and she’s already proven she can be my companion in all my interests and adventures!

So, the reason for ProAwesome: Dallas and I were joking about our eclectic interests and how many adventures they result in, so we thought that it would be cool to document our adventures and share them with the world! We’re all about sharing and entertaining, and with our combined skills, it seemed only natural to put it out there! Hopefully all of you are entertained by our antics, adventures, experiences, observations, and our attempts to be Professionally Awesome!
